Our mission is to empower young people and cultivate a sense of community through engaging programs and events. As part of the UK Year of Service initiative, we are excited to welcome enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Vibrant Parks Youth Coordinators.
UK Year of Service Overview:
UK Year of Service is a unique employability programme for 18-24 year olds, offering 9-12 months paid work in a socially beneficial role. It includes an embedded skills training programme, wrap-around support within and beyond placement, and support for exit routes into further education or employment.
This position provides comprehensive support, training, and enrichment to help you thrive in your role.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of programmes in urban parks.
- Engage with young people in a supportive and inclusive manner, fostering positive relationships and providing guidance and mentorship.
- Work closely with team members to create safe and welcoming spaces for youth participation and expression.
- Support the organisation in help coordinate community events.
- Ensure that the activities align with the goals of Vibrant Parks and provide meaningful ex-periences for both the volunteers and the children they will be working with.
Expectations
- No prior experience required; we offer training and ongoing support.
- Genuine interest in working within green spaces and urban parks
- Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and opportunities in a dynamic environment.

Active involvement in programme planning and delivery, contributing with fresh ideas and perspectives to enhance our Vibrant parks programme.
