November has been a busy month for HYPE. We have completed consultations with two more Wirral-based schools, and had our hard-work recognised by FirstArk at their Community Business Awards night.
HYPE’s Managing Director Matt has finalised the initial consultations with both Eastway Primary School and Bedford Drive School. HYPE will be partnering with these schools to deliver projects that will transform their outdoor spaces. By creating working allotments, outdoor teaching spaces, and on-site nature trails, HYPE will ensure these pupils have access to quality ‘green spaces.’ These projects to redesign and redevelop school grounds aim to benefit pupils, their families, and the communities around them, by enhancing learning, wellness, and engaging local people with nature.
HYPE were also lucky enough to attend this year’s world Urban Parks Congress, which was held on the Wirral in venues including Birkenhead Park and the Floral Pavillion. It was inspiring to see the management and decision-makers of so many world-famous parks come together and celebrate their achievements, including Doug Blonsky of Central Park New York. This links in to our New York Experience Project running in March 2018.
We are also please to report that we were chosen as the winners of FirstArk’s ‘Community Group of the Year’ award! The awards evening was hosted in The Venue, Huyton, and we would like to thank our hosts FirstArk for a wonderful night! It was inspiring to meet so many deserving community organisations, and an honour to be recognised as ‘Community Business of the Year.’ It is fantastic to be recognised for our hard-work.
