Bikes for NHS
Set up in April, our #BikesForNHS campaign focuses on supporting frontline NHS staff across Merseyside by offering them free and safe transport along with improving their own physical and mental wellbeing during the pandemic.
Firstly, a great big THANK YOU to our partners – The Royal Liverpool Hospital, Aintree Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, The Walton Centre, Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospital who have made this project possible. Janelle Holmes, Chief Executive at Wirral University Teaching Hospital, said “This is a great initiative that offers an extra option for staff to travel to work at such an important time.”
Since launching, more than 180 bikes have been loaned to NHS workers and thanks to your generous donations we have raised over £1000 on our crowdfunding page which has allowed us to buy more bikes, service the ones that have been donated by the public and employ more drivers to help deliver the bikes to our NHS heroes.
