HYPE have been working with Central Park Conservancy in New York since 2016. If you are aged between 16 – 24 years we are now offering the opportunity to travel with our team in February 2018 a 9-day trip to the Big Apple to deliver a social action project in the world famous Central Park.
Aim of project: To setup a mini business that can be run within the community. To raise funds to develop a youth enterprise product further.
Aim of project: For young people to speak about what trips they would like to attend during a 12 week trial youth hub at Leasowe Millennium Centre. Following discussions they will then plan, book, run and evaluate their trip.
Aim of project: To engage young people in an art project that supports their skills and techniques in art. Also gives the young people real work skills when painting a youth community centre with a local painting organisation.
To celebrate the start of the New Year 2017 HYPE is launching a brand new site featuring more courses, more photos, more videos, more activities and we will be expanding this throughout the year to include many more features.
The Re-Cycle project has been developed to bring communities closer together, through physical exercise and inclusion in a club.
HYPE transformed the local community centre in Leasowe into a bike workshop for our Recycle project and a Youth Club. These projects breathed new life into the community, getting young people involved in providing activities they want to get involved making the local community and place they want to be a part of.
